What college means to me

To me, college is a whole new chapter in your life. You are going to meet new people, really crack down and be serious, and start your major. It is a new journey. When people hear the word college, they freak out. I know I did. I'm not far from home but living on campus is new to me. I've never really been away from my family and now I'm living on my own. College is also much different than high school. You are independent now. You are in charge of your future, not anyone else. Right now, I am undecided. I thought I had it all figured out, but I didn't. I'm not worried about being undecided. It's a chance for me to explore my options and take classes that I like that can lead to a major. Classes are going to be different then what I'm used to. I know my classes will be interesting, but I know the work is going to be different. I need to work on my study habits and learn new techniques so I can be successful. College is full of new opportunities. I hope to join clubs, meet new friends, and make college the experience of a lifetime. Life is about taking chances and learning new things and I know college will fulfill that.
