A lot of things interest me but one thing that interests me the most is doing musicals. I love performing and singing and I love being on stage. I’ve only been in 4 shows but when I’m up there, I’m having the time of my life. Last year was on of the best shows I’ve been in. I was a Hot Box Dancer in Guys and Dolls. I haven’t danced since I was 6 and it was amazing to go back to tap and dancing. I used to always love watching plays but I never knew I would love being up on the stage. I am very shy and when I’m performing I’m out of my comfort zone but it doesn’t scare me that much. Being on stage makes become outgoing and express who I really am. I love that feeling I get when we’ve really pulled off a good show and have done our best. Another aspect that plays and performing bring is a learning experience. We learn music and dancing really fast. It shows that you don’t have a limited amount of time to do a task but you anybody can do it. It takes time, perseverance, and commitment. Another aspect that performing brings is friendships. You get close to people who have the same interests as you and you get to spend more time with your friends. You bond with what is going to be your new “family” and it makes the whole experience amazing. Performing is really an amazing experience and I love that I get involved with plays. When I get more familiar with how school is going I wanted to get more involved with my old studio and do the adult shows again. I love being up on that stage and having a ball with my friends and new friends.

Campus Safari #7
This week I decided to drop by the Fitness Center. This is a great place for freshman who live on campus to get their exercise because we don't have cars on campus! The gym is $60 a semester so that would be $120 for the whole year. The gym is open Monday through Thursday from 7a.m. to 10p.m, Friday from 7a.m to 8p.m., Saturday from 10:30a.m. to 4:30p.m., and Sunday from 2p.m. to 7p.m. The gym offers many different classes like zumba, yoga, kick boxing, boot camp, etc. I love zumba and they offer the class on Mondays from 7:15p.m. to 8:15p.m., Tuesdays from 5p.m. to 6p.m., and Wednesdays from 3:30p.m. to 4:30p.m. or 7p.m. to 8p.m. There is a total of 21 machines which includes treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and steppers. They also have weights for lifting. After looking into the gym I'm thinking about signing up for next semester because I was really impressed.

Midterms
Just as college was starting I was very nervous to see where I was going to be at midterms. When I found out all of my grades, I was actually very happy at where I am. Spanish is the only class that my midterm isn’t up yet and of course it’s the class I’m the most nervous about. Spanish does not come easy to me and I’m trying my best to keep up with the course but it’s hard. But all in all, I’m very happy with where I am. I have changed my time management skills by a lot. I used to procrastinate on everything and not always do my homework. So far I’ve handed in every assignment on time and do them earlier instead of last minute. I’ve also changed my studying skills. Sometimes I wouldn’t even study but now I know how important it is and I actually study now. I found that making notecards is such an efficient way to learn. I still need to work on elaboration for writing papers. I just need to go that extra step and I can make my papers more detailed and longer. Also, I think I should’ve gotten a tutor for Spanish. Spanish has never been an easy subject for me and I’m always struggling. I try my hardest in that class and always do my homework and try to study but I need to go that extra mile to get my grade where I want it to be. For the rest of the semester, I plan to keep my grades up. I plan on studying more and saving more time for homework, studying, etc. I want to be able to be proud of myself and all of my accomplishments so far in college. Hope all of this planning goes as planned!

Comfort Zone
This weekend I went to Sleeping Giant with my friends at home. I am by no means a nature girl but I thought this would be a perfect way to go out of my comfort zone. I’ve only been to Sleeping Giant three times and I hate it every time I go. I think I hate it so much because I don’t give it a chance. I give up to easily and any chance I get I go right back to the car. So this time I was prepared to look at it with a positive attitude. I went with my two friends who love being outside and love going hiking and I thought they would be the perfect people to take me. So I got them nice and early and we were on our way. They know how bad my asthma is so we did fairly easy hiking. They took my down the river path which was pretty cool. Yeah the bugs were a little annoying but after a while they wore off. After we finished that, we started going up the trail. Thank god the weather was beautiful this weekend and not too hot. It was perfect. Fall is my favorite season and what better place to be at. All the trees were beautiful and the leaves were all different colors. I loved it. As soon as we reached our destination, I felt accomplished. I have always given up so easy on this mountain but it just took two friends and perseverance and I made it through. It was such a great way to start my Saturday and after it, I felt so relaxed and I did something for myself. I now know that I am capable of doing whatever I set my mind to and I can achieve challenges that come tough to me.

Campus Safari #10
Yesterday I attended Lake Compounce with Res. Life. Lake Compounce is one of my favorite amusement parks! I was so excited because they had the Haunted Graveyard and I’ve never been there before. I went with a lot of my friends and met up with more people! I love anything Halloween but of course I was scared before I went into the graveyard. The walk was 45 minutes, which I was making me nervous but I knew I would have a good time. Some of the parts of the graveyard were pretty scary but all in all it was fun! Of course the guy with a chainsaw chased me, which was terrifying, but I knew it was fake. It was such a good time and I would definitely go again next year!

Time Management
My time management skills have not always been the best. I’m known for procrastinating so long-term projects and I haven’t done it that much for this project. I still could’ve had more material prepared but this weekend is when I’m setting my time aside to gather all of my information and videos to finalize the project. Brainstorming took me quiet a while. Overall I think it took me two hours to actually know which path I wanted to go on. Interviewing is still in the process because I switched my direction a little a need more interviewers. Music, quotes, and etc. are all done and that took me about an hour to figure out and pick out. Transferring all of my materials took me about an hour. Learning to use iMovie took about two hours to get used to and my friend is going to help me cut my videos this weekend. Making the video has been a process and I would say about three hours and it’s still going! Editing is still in the process but so far I’ve spent about two hours on it! This whole project has been a process because making a movie is brand new to me but thank god for my sister and friend who are helping me this weekend to finalize everything! I wish I just used my time more wisely because I have procrastinated on this project but I’ve definitely gotten better with procrastination since high school! The only real aspect I wish I did differently was having all of my interviews done so I don’t have to worry about running around and changing all of my ideas and just have editing left. Saturday I am hoping for the project to be finalized and done so I can relax and not stress out about it!
